Representatives of “Acwa Power” and “L&T Construction” visited the “Enter Steel” and Technopark enterprises
A delegation led by Mr. John Zaidi, Regional Director of Saudi Arabia’s major energy investor Acwa Power, Mr. Rajan Bansal, Head of CIS operations of its strategic contractor — India’s L&T Construction, and officials from the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan visited Enter Steel and Technopark, key enterprises in Uzbekistan’s electrical engineering sector.
The main objective of the visit was to explore opportunities for sourcing locally manufactured electrical equipment and materials — particularly metal transmission line poles (LEP supports), metal structures, and other electrical components — required for construction and installation works under the solar power plant projects being funded by Acwa Power and executed by L&T Construction across Uzbekistan.
During the visit, the delegation members thoroughly familiarized themselves with the production facilities, technological processes, product quality, and compliance with international standards.
An open dialogue was held between the parties on technical requirements, terms of cooperation, and potential agreements.
This visit marked an important step toward integrating Uzbekistan’s locally produced electrical goods into major international green energy projects and boosting the export potential of the country’s electrical engineering industry.
