Uzbekistan – France: cooperation with Alstom in the field of electrical engineering discussed

As part of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to France on March 11-12, a business forum was organized between officials and business circles of the two countries.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Uzeltechsanoat Association Mirziyod Yunusov, who held talks with the Managing Director for Western and Central Asia of the French company Alstom Jerome Boyer.

During the meeting, issues of development of the electrical industry of Uzbekistan, a favorable investment climate created in the industry, as well as prospects for international cooperation were discussed.

Mirziyod Yunusov presented his proposals to Alstom on the effective use of existing opportunities in Uzbekistan and the implementation of promising joint projects.

Alstom is one of the world’s leading companies in the field of railway transport and electric propulsion systems.

The company is engaged in the development and implementation of innovative locomotives, electric locomotives and other transport technologies.

It is expected that the meeting during the visit will contribute to the further expansion of bilateral relations, the establishment of an exchange of advanced technologies, and will also contribute to the sustainable development of the Uzbek electrical engineering industry.
