Meeting with “Envision Group” representatives: Localization of BESS technologies in Uzbekistan discussed

In recent years, Uzbekistan has been implementing large-scale reforms and investment projects in the field of renewable energy. As part of these initiatives, the supply of electrical industry products such as cable-wire items, voltage devices, and metal frame systems has been established.

As a logical continuation of these developments, an important meeting was recently held with representatives of Envision Group, one of China’s leading companies in the field of alternative energy. The meeting was attended by the leadership of the Uzeltechsanoat Association and representatives of the member enterprise “Sun-Hightech.”

During the discussions, the parties thoroughly explored opportunities for the localization of lithium-ion battery production for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), the implementation of technology transfer, and the establishment of joint manufacturing in Uzbekistan.

The participants focused on the potential for lithium-ion battery production in the country. The foreign partners were provided with detailed information about the current demand for such batteries in renewable energy projects underway in the republic.

This meeting is regarded as another strategic step toward the development of green energy, sustainable production, and technological modernization of the national industry.
