Afghan Market Assessed: New Opportunities Emerging in Herat for Export of Electrical Products

On April 13–14, 2026, market research activities, B2B meetings, and trade negotiations were held in Herat, Afghanistan, aimed at expanding the presence of Uzbek electrical products in international markets. The visit primarily focused on identifying the current demand and needs of the Afghan market in the electrical engineering sector.

Representatives of the “Uzeltechsanoat” Association visited major торговые centers and electrical markets in Herat, where they conducted direct meetings with local dealers, importers, and business representatives. These discussions included a comprehensive assessment of demand for imported electrical products, market supply dynamics, pricing conditions, and identification of underrepresented segments within the market.

During the meetings, proposals were put forward to supply the Herat market with high-quality, competitive, and cost-effective Uzbek electrical products, establish sustainable trade partnerships, and increase export volumes. The parties also discussed practical mechanisms for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
