In January-April 2020, the enterprises of the «Uzeltexsanoat» Association achieved all the planned targets and fulfilled the forecast indicators for expanding production and attracting foreign direct investment.

The Association has more than 85 member members, 15 of which are manufacturers of cable and wire products, 35 are manufacturers of household appliances and the remaining 35 are manufacturers of other electrotechnical products. The industry employs over 22,000 people.

The volume of industrial production for January-April 2020 amounted to 2,841.4 billion UZS in current prices. The growth rate of industrial production compared to the corresponding period of 2019 (in comparable prices) with the forecast parameter of 115.1 percent amounted to 124.1 percent.

Exports of products for the period from January to April 2020 amounted to 63.9 million dollars.

In the framework of the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 01/09/2020. No. PP-4563 “On measures to implement the Investment Program of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2020-2022, 22 projects are being implemented at 13 enterprises through the «Uzeltexsanoat» Association.

The forecast volume of development for January-April 2020 amounted to 21.4 million dollars, the actual volume of development amounted to 35.6 million dollars or 166.0%.

Since 15 of March, 2020, home appliance manufacturers launched an online shopping platform for the convenience of consumers, as a result of which, during the quarantine period, consumers were delivered products worth 4.2 billion UZS and a quality service system was created.

Investment projects were launched to develop modern medical equipment with the operational support of the Republican Commission to Combat the Crisis, In particular, the production of anesthetics devices and special medical masks of the N-95 brand were launched (165,000 units per day, project cost $ 2.8 million), which are in high demand in the domestic and foreign markets.
